1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the KhataFlowmobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the service. These Terms apply to all users — shopkeepers, business owners, and customers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use KhataFlow. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the app on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

3. Use of the App

KhataFlow is provided for lawful personal and business use — including shopkeepers managing their ledgers and customers viewing their khata balances. You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Upload false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the app
• Use the app to send unsolicited commercial messages or spam

4. Account Responsibility

Your account is secured by OTP-based phone authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at khataflow.support@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

5. Data Accuracy

KhataFlow displays ledger data entered by shopkeepers. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in data entered by third parties. If you (as a customer) believe a balance or transaction is incorrect, please contact the shop directly. KhataFlow is a record-keeping tool and does not independently verify the accuracy of ledger entries.

6. Subscription Plans & Billing

KhataFlow offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (Starter and Growth). By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You authorise us to charge the applicable subscription fee on a monthly or annual basis as selected
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial-period refunds are issued
• All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and inclusive of applicable taxes
• We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' prior notice

Refund Policy: Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the service, contact us within 7 days and we will review your case.

7. Intellectual Property

The KhataFlow name, logo, app design, and all content on the website and app are the exclusive property of KhataFlow and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

Your business data — ledger entries, customer records, and transaction history — remains yours. We do not claim ownership over content you create in the app.

8. Third-Party Services

KhataFlowintegrates with third-party services including Firebase (Google) for authentication and notifications, SMS gateways for payment reminders, and Sentry for error monitoring. Your use of these integrated services may be subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep KhataFlow available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or events beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KhataFlow and its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or financial loss. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if continued access poses a risk to the service or other users. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000.
